Oklahoma City Bombing

The pictures flashing on the television today brought so many memories to my mind. Ten years ago was a horrific bombing. The Oklahoma City Bombing.

I remember watching the news coverage and seeing the firefighters bring out the dead children that were in the daycare center. I remember watching the red headed mom (Edie was her name I think) who had to bury two of her boys.

I remember sobbing as I watched her kiss the caskets and weep for her boys. I remember feeling so hurt right along with her but I had no idea what she was going through.

At least not at the time........

I remember crying and saying to Robert, " How in the world can a parent handle losing a child?"

I was soon to find out.........

I remember seeing all the pain on the faces of the people who lost loved ones.

I didn't understand then but I understand now.......
